Limits

Skin isn’t blue,

Unless you’re a hedgehog.

Cars don’t have human faces with them exclaiming “Kachow.”

Even the dogs around the block,

Aren’t the size of elephants with red fur.

Skin is skin.

Cars are cars.

And dogs are animals –

I mean,

DOGS are dogs.

The 3 people who I see every day?

Oh,

They are family.

Why?

Because Mom, Dad, and sister are family.

Of course they’re people.

People are people.

Of course they are not like anybody!

They can’t be replaced!

You can’t just replace my family with another set of people!

Everyone’s special!

I know I said “people are people,”

But I can’t find a word that makes sense.

A word that describes who they are,

What they can be,

What they mean.

So I call them “people.”

Why are you calling me “small-minded?”

You are right!

I should try to leave it blank!

Skin is ___.

Cars are ___.

And dogs are ___.

Who needs to limit something with words?

But if that’s true, doesn’t that mean that I’m ___?

But I would like to have a word.

A word that shows all of my limitless-ness.

I don’t know if I like the word “limitless.”

I mean,

It sounds like I have “less limit.”

Yeah!

Maybe everything is just a reality limit.
